APPOINTMENT PREP

READ THIS SO WE BOTH HAVE A GOOD DAY

Before you come in:

  • Try to get a good night’s sleep. Your body heals better when it’s rested.
  • Unless prescribed, avoid blood thinners right before your appointment (Aspirin, NSAIDs, Fish Oil, Vitamin E). Don’t stop prescribed meds without talking to your doctor
  • Skip the alcohol the day before and day of.
  • Don’t tan, wax, or irritate the area we’ll be tattooing.
  • Avoid working out right before your appointment.
  • Eat a real meal and drink water. Tattoos hit harder on an empty stomach.
  • Please shower and wear deodorant. Go easy on cologne/perfume.
  • Do not use numbing cream. It can mess with the tattoo and healing.
  • Wear clean, comfortable clothes you don’t mind getting ink on. If you get cold, bring a hoodie or blanket.
  • Feel free to bring snacks, food, or drinks — delivery is cool too.
  • We’ve got TVs (Netflix, Hulu, etc.), but headphones, music, or a book are always a good move.
  • Payment is due at each session. Cash is preferred, and we do have an ATM on site.
  • Please make other arrangements for children and pets — they aren’t allowed in the studio for health and safety reasons.
  • If you’re feeling sick, have a fever, cough, or tested positive for COVID within 5 days of your appointment, please contact us right away to reschedule.

STUDIO ETIQUETTE

MUTUAL RESPECT, ALWAYS

  • Arrive on time, not early. If you’re running late, email us and let us know.
  • If you’re more than 30 minutes late without notice, the appointment will be canceled and considered a no-show. (See deposit policy.)
  • Don’t show up intoxicated.
  • No children or pets in the studio. Please don’t leave them in the car either.
  • Only reschedule if you truly have to, and give at least 48 hours’ notice. Last-minute changes make it really hard to fill your spot.
  • Be sure about your design before booking. Your appointment and deposit are for the project discussed at booking. If your idea changes, reach out early so we can talk it through.
  • Don’t stack plans right after your appointment. Tattoos take the time they take. Rushing the process doesn’t help the outcome.
  • Cover your mouth or nose with your elbow if you need to cough or sneeze.
  • Try to stay still. If you need to move or adjust, let your artist know first.
  • Don’t touch the area being tattooed. This includes applying numbing products during the session. If you accidentally touch it, please wash your hands right away.
  • Respect the space. Don’t touch artwork, equipment, or other people without permission.
  • Tipping is never required, always appreciated. If you’re unsure, 10–20% is common, but anything is cool.
